Craig Frankel, J.D.

Craig Frankel is a founding partner of Gaslowitz Frankel LLC, a fiduciary litigation firm in Atlanta. Craig and his firm have handled hundreds of disputes relating to trusts, wills, estates, guardianships, partnerships, and closely-held corporations. For example, he represented some of the children of Martin Luther King, Jr. in a dispute regarding the family company. He has represented the heirs of the Candler family in a dispute regarding the management of a family trust. He has represented numerous executors and trustees and heirs and beneficiaries in connection with allegations of breaches of fiduciary duties. Craig is a frequent speaker at continuing legal education programs, wealth management programs, and estate and tax programs, where he talks about fiduciary duties and the risks for fiduciaries. Craig attended the Honors Program of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa and the Order of the Grail Honor Society. Craig attended the University of Georgia School of Law as a Bryant T. Castellow Scholar, where he served as Executive Editor of the Georgia Law Review and as a research assistant to Deans Beaird and Brussack. After graduating with honors, he clerked with the Hon. John C. Godbold, then Chief Judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. In 2005, Craig and Adam Gaslowitz merged their firms and formed Gaslowitz Frankel. Craig is an Atlanta native and stays active in the Atlanta community. He just finished a two-year term as Chair of the Board of Directors of Hillside Hospital, a residential and out-patient treatment facility for emotionally-disturbed adolescents and their families. He currently serves as Vice President of the Board of Directors of the Breman Jewish Heritage Museum. Craig also is a violinist with the Atlanta Community Symphony Orchestra, and he is active with his neighborhood association, political campaigns, and functions at the schools of his three children.
