Joy Goetz

Joy Goetz, MS, RD, LD, CHES. For over a decade, she has worked as a Registered Dietitian and Community Health Education Specialist to help connect people in Atlanta area with the food and skills to they need prepare healthy meals. In her current role as the Manager of Nutrition and Wellness Programs at the Atlanta Community Food Bank, she oversees nutrition outreach efforts and promotion of healthy foods across the Food Bank's partner network. Joy also works with healthcare organizations to educate clinicians about food insecurity and coordinate food security interventions. In her previous role At Open Hand Atlanta, she managed community-based nutrition education programs for people living with chronic illnesses. She has also taught a course in community nutrition for Georgia State University's Didactic Program in Dietetics. Joy earned a M.S. in Foods and Nutrition from the University of Georgia and a B.S. in Health Promotion from Liberty University. She completed her Dietetic Internship at Georgia State University.
