Our chapter’s next meeting will be held Thursday, December 5, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Enterprise Mill Starch Room. Our guest speaker, Paul Wade, will be speaking on Tax Treatment of Losses in a Federally Declared Disaster Area.
Paul Wade was born in Atlanta, GA, but grew up in Louisville, KY. Paul obtained a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from Georgia Tech where he graduated on the Dean’s List. Paul worked at E-Z-Go for approximately 4 years as an engineering team leader before going to graduate school at the University of Georgia. Paul earned his Masters of Business Administration with concentrations in accounting and finance.Paul passed the CPA exam in 2006 with a top 10 score in the state of Georgia. Paul chose public accounting as a career because he likes the field and enjoys the flexibility to work anywhere, not just a big city. He now serves as SME CPAs Managing partner and has great ambitions for the firm and its clients. He is a member of the Rotary Club of Augusta, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants. He is a past President of the GSCPA Augusta Chapter and current Treasurer of the Westabou Montessori School.
