James F. Walker III, CPA

Jim Walker, CPA I graduated from the University of Missouri in 1975 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. I have three years public accounting experience, 1975-78, working for Deloitte Haskins and Sells, and Coopers and Lybrand, two of the then "Big 8". I passed the CPA exam in 1976, (first time) and was issued a lifetime CPA certificate from Missouri, in 1977 I became a Special Agent with the FBI in 1978. I retired from the FBI on 01/01/01 with 21 1/2 years experience. I primarily worked white collar crime - bank frauds and embezzlements. This evolved to working phone phreaking and finally, computer intrusions, theft of technology and economic espionage investigations on Atlanta's National Infrastructure Protection - Computer Intrusion Squad. I spent a lot of time training other Special Agents and giving presentations on computer intrusions, theft of technology and economic espionage. [I have even given CPE for/to the Georgia Bar Association.] I have three certificates from Georgia Tech as follows: - UNIX Systems Management, - Network Operations and - Administration of Open Systems; Also, I am currently a Director and President of the Crime Victims Advocacy Council, a nonprofit organization that provides free services as an advocate for victims of crimes. Finally, I am a member of the Missouri Society of CPAs, Georgia Society of CPAs and a 25 year member of the AICPA.
