Jim spends a significant amount of his time working on values focused estate and financial planning, in collaboration with his clients' other advisors He co-founded Tarpley & Underwood in 1978, which then merged with Windham Brannon in 2011. Jim retired from Windham Brannon at the end of 2013 and beginning in 2014, he established Underwood Advisors, LLC, a planning practice devoted to providing holistic estate and financial planning services to a select number of high net worth families and family offices.
