Thomas Brean
Tom Brean, CPA Grant Thornton, LLP - Partner / Chicago, Illinois Tom is the Practice Leader of the Chicago Not-For-Profit office. He has over 18 years of experience in public accounting and has been responsible for the audits in a wide variety of not-for-profit organizations and is currently dedicated to provide services solely to Grant Thornton N-P clients. Tom's audit experience includes charitable organizations, professional and trade associations, social service, schools, arts organizations and community development organizations. His clients include the YMCA of the USA, United Way of Metropolitan Chicago, Salvation Army Central Territory, Lions Clubs International, The Commercial Club of Chicago, the Museum of Science and Industry, the American College of Chest Physicians and National Insurance Crime Bureau. Tom has served on the boards of several not-for-profit organizations and was recently the Chair person of the Illinois CPA Society Not-for-Profit Committee. He serves on Grant Thornton's National Not-for-Profit Leadership Team and has written and instructed both local and national training courses in the areas of not-for-profit organization audits, accounting and taxation.
