Barry MacQuarrie, CPA
Barry MacQuarrie, CPA is the Director of Technology at KAF Financial Group, a CPA firm that is located in Braintree, Massachusetts. He has extensive experience working with CPA firm technologies. Barry combines his experience as a CPA and his knowledge of technology to provide consulting services to CPA firms and associations. His areas of expertise include social networking, workflow, process improvement, disaster recovery planning, security, and paperless office technologies. Barry is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and has served on the AICPA's Information Technology Executive Committee and the Top Technology Initiatives Task Force. He is a member of the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants (MSCPA) and has served as the chair of the MSCPA's Information Technology Committee. Barry serves as chair of the Executive Committee for the Babson College Alumni Technology Council. He is a member of the CCH User Conference Customer Advisory Committee and the Boomer Technology Circles Advisory Board. Barry frequently presents on the topics of social networking, workflow, paperless office and business continuity planning. He has presented for the AICPA, the MSCPA, CCH Incorporated, JHI International, XCM Solutions, Boomer Consulting, and various CPA firm associations. Barry is a monthly contributor to AICPA's Corporate Finance Insider. He has been published in the AICPA's InfoTech Update, MSCPA SumNews, the Boomer Bulletin and the Progressive Accountant. Barry earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Babson College.
