Karen Kurtz
Karen S. Kurtz is an associate in the Tax Section of Chamberlain Hrdlicka's Atlanta Office, concentrating in estate and gift tax planning and litigation. Ms. Kurtz's tax planning experience includes the structuring of estate and business plans, the drafting of wills and trusts and the formation and restructuring of business entities, including non-profit corporations. She also has experience in the representation of taxpayers in controversies involving estate and gift tax and valuation disputes. In addition, Ms. Kurtz has experience in the planning and litigation of income tax matters for both individuals and entities. Ms. Kurtz is a frequent lecturer at various seminars on these subjects for attorneys, accountants, insurance agents and financial planners. Ms. Kurtz received her law degree from Mercer University where she was the recipient of the CALI Award in Corporate Tax and was on the Dean's List. Ms. Kurtz also holds an LL.M in Taxation and Certificate in Employee Benefits from Georgetown University and a M.B.A. and Masters in Health Administration from Georgia State University. She is a member of the American Bar Association and the State Bar of Georgia.
