Chris Crouch

The celebrity Bob Newhart and Chris have something in common. They both started out as accountants before their careers took unexpected turns into more creative fields...acting, in Mr. Newhart's case and training, public speaking, consulting and writing, in Chris's case. Chris's career reflects impressive success in the corporate world as a CPA and senior executive (including being the Director of Investor Relations at one of the nation's top banking organizations) of a Fortune 500 company; however, his true passion has always been speaking, training and personal development. Throughout his career in the business world, he was often called on to give presentations and seminars to both small and large groups of people. Ultimately, he gravitated away from pure business assignments and took responsibility for company-wide training and development programs. During his time at the Fortune 500 Company, Chris became the primary spokesperson for the company and often gave over 100 presentations a year to various groups of investors, board members, employees, and others inside and outside the organization. He developed video based training programs, personally conducted seminars and worked with other training vendors and resources to improve employee performance. In 1999, Chris decided to take this career path to the next level. He took the plunge and became an independent consultant with the goal of working with other companies in the field of training and personal development. He specializes in helping individuals and workgroups get organized, focused and more productive. A little over one year from breaking away from his more traditional career path, Chris completed his first book titled The Contented Achiever. This book captures the lessons learned in his years of managing, training and observing people and conducting seminars. Chris recognized early in life that some people have a way of making success look easy - they achieve great things and at the same time seem to possess contentment and peace of mind. The Contented Achiever offers ideas on how to get on, and stay on, a path that will lead to achievement and contentment. Chris's exciting and motivational seminars help people convert these ideas in The Contented Achiever into lifelong habits. He has a reputation for teaching people ideas and techniques that can easily be put into action in their day-to-day lives. Chris lives with his family in Memphis, Tennessee and continues his life-long quest to learn to play the guitar better and enjoy the passage of time. He recently completed his second book titled Simple Works: Simple Ideas to Make Life Better.
