Veronica A. Caputo, CPA, MT
Qualifications Veronica is Grant Thornton Advisor’s Atlanta State and Local Tax practice leader. She has more than twenty-four years of experience split between public accounting and private industry. She serves large multistate and multinational corporations and pass-through entities in the manufacturing, distribution, service, asset management, and technology industries. Experience Veronica’s seven years in industry was primarily focused on the manufacturing, wholesale, and retail industries at both Family Owned and Fortune 500 businesses. During this time, she broadened her skill set as she was also responsible at various times for federal income tax, sales and use tax, local gross receipts tax, personal property taxes and managing the outsourcing of certain tax functions. Her practice concentrations include: multistate income and franchise tax compliance and planning; accounting for income taxes and uncertain tax positions; compliance; refund reviews; audit defense; nexus studies; voluntary disclosures; and credits and incentives. Professional qualifications and memberships Veronica is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Georgia Association of Public Accountants. She serves as Grant Thornton’s representative on the Southeastern Association of Tax Administrators Industry Council and as the Co-chair of the Georgia Association of Manufacturer’s Tax Council. Education Veronica earned her BS in Accounting from Bloomsburg University and her Master of Taxation from Villanova University.
