September 12, 2017

Atlanta, GA

The Commissioner of the Georgia Department of Revenue, pursuant to the powers granted by law, is temporarily suspending the requirements associated with the Georgia International Registration Plan (IRP) and the International Fuel Tax Agreement (IFTA) trip and fuel permits for vehicles providing direct assistance with hurricane relief efforts. Note: Motor Carriers or drivers that are currently subject to State or Federal out-of-service orders are not eligible for the suspension of requirements in Georgia.

The suspension of IRP and IFTA requirements noted above shall be in effect until 5:00 pm on October 8th, 2017, or until completion of the hurricane relief efforts, whichever comes first.
