John J. Scroggin, J.D., LL.M, AEP

John J. (""Jeff") Scroggin has been practiced as a business, tax and estate planning attorney in Atlanta for 38 years. He worked as a CPA for Arthur Anderson. Jeff holds a B.S.B.A. (accounting), J.D. and Masters of Law (tax) from the University of Florida. Jeff serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the University of Florida Levin College of Law. Jeff has been named as a "Georgia Super Lawyer" for the last nine years and has held the top ranking from Martindale Hubbell for 27 years. He served on the Board of Directors of the National Association of Estate Planners and Councils ("NAEPC") (2002 to 2010) and was Founding Editor of the NAEPC Journal of Estate and Tax Planning (2006-2011). He was Co-Editor of CCH's Practical Estate Planning (2004 to 2006). He is the author of over 250 published articles, white papers and books. Jeff has been widely quoted in national media, including the Wall Street Journal (1999, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2009, March 2010, August 2010, 2015), New York Times (2005, 2013, 2014), USA Today (2014, 2016), Forbes Magazine (1999, 2001, 2012, 2014), Money (1999, 2005, 2015), CNN Headline News, National Public Radio, Fortune Magazine, Asian Wall Street Journal, South China Post, New York Times International Herald Tribune, Kiplinger's, Newsday and the LA Times. Jeff practices out of an 1883 building in the historic district of Roswell.
