Cheryl J. Thompson
Cheryl Thompson is a Manager in PwC's Health Care Regulatory Group in Atlanta. She has over 20 years of experience in physician practice management, specializing in reimbursement, CPT/HCPCS and ICD-9 CM Coding, receivables management and practice operations. She has a comprehensive understanding of Medicare Part B billing guidelines for physician and hospital outpatient services. Before joining PwC, Ms. Thompson was the Associate Director of Coding and Reimbursement for a 600-provider academic practice plan affiliated with the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas. Ms. Thompson is a Certified Professional Coder (CPC) with the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) and serves on the AAPC's National Advisory Board. She is the current President of the Greater Atlanta Chapter of the AAPC.
